The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group) plans to launch Bitcoin spot trading to meet the growing demand for the cryptocurrency industry from Wall Street fund managers.
The plan is still in the discussion stage, but if implemented, it would mark a further entry of major Wall Street institutions into the digital asset industry.
Previously, CME has provided Bitcoin futures trading, and the introduction of spot trading will make it easier for investors to conduct basis trading.
