According to Theblock, Ethereum developers plan to increase the maximum stake of validators from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH in the Pectra upgrade, which is expected to be completed before the end of 2024.
Currently, the effective balance cap for Ethereum validators is set at 32 ETH. This requirement forces large-scale staking operations to set up multiple validators in order to earn more than this amount.
This improvement is expected to ease the operational burden on stakeholders by reducing the number of validators required.Â
