Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) David Schwartz expressed his views on whether the AMM (automatic market maker) function will affect the price of XRP.
This comes after some members of the XRP community worried that the feature could cause XRP to drop significantly.
Schwartz mentioned in X that he does not think the AMM feature on the XRP Ledger will have much impact on the XRP price. He believes that volatility harvesting strategies such as arbitrage on DEX will not reduce XRP’s price volatility anytime soon.
He further explained that his assertion is because DEX trading activity on Ripple Ledger represents only “a drop in the ocean of XRP trading.”
