The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Global Markets Advisory Committee has adopted a digital asset taxonomy, aiming to improve regulatory clarity and provide assistance for the drafting of future legislation and regulations.
The taxonomy covers digital assets, central bank digital currencies, stablecoins and more, and builds on the work of global standard setters.
